Ducks named Gudas as their captain. Yikes.

Is there really no de facto replacement for capfriendly yet? Or am I just completely out of the loop?

Puckpedia is what I've been using, seems to have all the same info as capfriendly, though it's design is a little more cluttered
Re: 2023-2024 Offseason Thread: RIP Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau
Yeah, Puckpedia is great but it can be a little tricky to find what you're looking for sometimes

Perfetti got bridged, 2 x 3.25

It's one of those deals that in retrospect, everyone is like "it took that long to get to what literally everyone expected would be the deal"?

Re: 2023-2024 Offseason Thread: RIP Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau
I think he was asking for the type of money Guenther got (eight years, 7.14 per) but come on, he was a healthy scratch for a lot of key games. Maybe he puts it all together over the next two years and ends up closer to Raymond money, but I have my doubts about that.
I like the guy, after Raymond he was the forward from that grouping in 2020 that appealed most to me (Holtz, Rossi, Quinn, Lundell). At this point maybe he's only ahead of Holtz in that group.
A real bummer to look at that drfat and remember that Rodion Amirov died at 21

In a story that may ultimately kill Cacophony, Mark Lazarus claimed during an Athletic podcast that Kaprizov wants to come to Chicago in 2026
Re: 2023-2024 Offseason Thread: RIP Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau
I know it's the pre-season but I would really enjoy it if the Oilers stopped getting pumped for 6 goals every single night
Re: 2023-2024 Offseason Thread: RIP Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau
Yeah he walked that back though. I am fully expecting KK97 to walk at the end of his contract though because he will be 1) frustrated by how the franchise is continually stuck in the mud, 2) he'd rather co go a larger market just like Panarin did and I really can't blame him. Will absolutely suck though if he chooses the Blackhawks.Grand Moff Larkin wrote: ↑Thu Sep 26, 2024 9:27 am In a story that may ultimately kill Cacophony, Mark Lazarus claimed during an Athletic podcast that Kaprizov wants to come to Chicago in 2026

He walked it back but my gut is that there's smoke, he just can't come out this early with it or NHL teams will feel like he's tampering.Cacophony wrote: ↑Thu Sep 26, 2024 2:39 pmYeah he walked that back though. Aside from the fact that Fuck Chicago, it would make sense for Kaprisov to go to a team with a superstar center that will presumably be entering a Cup window.

Boston losing both of their goalies in one offseason is the only chance I have for any happiness this year

Things are also going great for the Habs. That’s pretty funny. Feel bad for Laine and Reinbacher though
