Caused by a Ben Chiarot turnover in the offensive zone
Petry has been an eyesore since I turned it on

Keller gets the empty netter after a few decent Wings chances with Lyon pulled
Seven in a row, fuck

Raymond looked good (and got the only goal, as has been the case recently) but Kane and DeBrincat are clutching their sticks so hard and blowing the chances they get. Copp's a ghost, Veleno enters the zone well but doesn't do much once he's there. Berggren got a good shot from the slot and took a huge hit after it, play him more.
Gostisbehere is profoundly frustrating. Petry needs to sit, not that Holl is any better. Chiarot was genuinely good for most of the season but he's a mess again. Maatta is fine, Walman seems tired, Seider's doing the best he can.
Lyon looks worn out, which is understandable because he's never played this much at the NHL level. But he needed to stop that Bjugstad shot.

Stevey Y ordering the boys to tank so they don’t get manhandled in the playoffs?

At this rate they'd get manhandled in the Memorial Cup

Larkin skated briefly at practice this morning at least
He wasn't supposed to return until next week but fuck they could use him

Any concern here that this is maybe not the best way to develop him? Surface level seems bad at least but I am sure you have more insight/thoughts that i will based on reading just this

I don't know if it's the best way to develop him, but the Seider/Walman pairing is exponentially better at handling high-end guys than Petry/Chiarot or Gostisbehere (Maatta isn't the problem there). There isn't another option right now. Long-term, I think Edvinsson should be able to handle some of that load. The chucking pucks off glass comment applies to everyone right now, barring maybe Gostisbehere, and he's turning it over in transition instead.
I do think Seider's worn out. Contrast how he did vs. McDavid and thee Goil during their first game / MacKinnon and the Avs during their first game vs. getting lit up in the rematches. He doesn't play as many minutes as a lot of top D (I think he's like 27th in ice time per game on d) but he doesn't get easy minutes. Gostisbehere's QBing the PP1 despite being a flub artist for the last few months.
Anyway, there isn't a solution at the moment. Petry/Chiarot has been an absolute tire fire during this losing streak, you cannot expect them to do any better against better players.

Sprong back in today, Berggren out, Czarnik still in
I guess they need a center if they’re doing Ras / Copp / Fischer again but Czarnik is a black hole offensively

Wings have led 7 of their last 440 minutes of play
Chiarot going after Greenway, hope he doesn’t take the only penalty here

No calls either way
Chiarot was mad about Dahlin interfering with him on a big hit in the first period
Ras getting called for a late hit now
