The Habs should lose some games, as a treat (for me)

If the wings can win in regulation tomorrow they need to make up 4 points (with one game in hand). They do need to win basically all games in regulation, tho, otherwise they'll probably need more points than the Habs vs winning the tie-breaker. Feels unlikely but possible! MTL is riding some luck and that could turn.
I regret to inform you, however, that Montreal's next game after that is against the SNES which is apparently a guaranteed W for them this year.

Ottawa can clinch with a win tomorrow against the Beej who lost two must-win games over the weekend 5-0 and 4-0 and are just done. A home game for them, tho, so that might help.

I have sincere doubts that the Wings will win tomorrow. Gordie has Puppy Preschool so I probably won’t turn it on until 7:45. My guess is either that it’s 3-0 Habs at that point, or the Wings have a small lead that they will cough up in painful fashion.sutterfamily wrote: ↑Mon Apr 07, 2025 9:50 am If the wings can win in regulation tomorrow they need to make up 4 points (with one game in hand). If the Wings tie them in points but lose out on the tiebreaker (again) I may go into hiding.

Worse is: if they tie (or lose) the initial RW tie-breaker they will end up losing the ROW tie-breaker.

They should just have to fight it out, fuck these tiebreakers. Line brawl for the playoffs.sutterfamily wrote: ↑Mon Apr 07, 2025 11:11 am Worse is: if they tie (or lose) the initial RW tie-breaker they will end up losing the ROW tie-breaker.

I believe so, up to very recently.

Demidov is joining the Habs this season apparently, if there was a way to make Habs' fans dream season any sweeter for them (and obnoxious for the rest of us).

Oh no
Although if Axel Sandin-Pellikka gets some games in for the Wings this year, I’ll be obnoxious

JesusChaz Lucius, a first-round pick by the Winnipeg Jets in 2021, retired from professional hockey Tuesday after being diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome.
Lucius, 21, never played in the NHL but scored seven goals and 27 points in 54 AHL games for the Manitoba Moose, the Jets’ top minor-league affiliate.
“Recently, I was diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS), which is a hereditary disorder that affects the connective tissue that stabilizes and supports the joints and organs throughout the body,” Lucius said in a statement on social media via his agency, Newport Sports.

Puts the "Chaz Lucius needs to stay healthy" comment from a past JERTS prospect roundup in context

I treat patients with EDS and the severe cases like his really suck. There's really no way he could play with this disease. These folks dislocate their joints and tear cartilage doing the most mundane things like reaching to turn off their alarm clocks or rolling over in bed.

Yeah, it really does. He’s been through a lot so hopefully knowing this now sets him on a path to finding a healthy way forward in life.Grand Moff Larkin wrote: ↑Tue Apr 08, 2025 8:52 pm Puts the "Chaz Lucius needs to stay healthy" comment from a past JERTS prospect roundup in context

One of my favourite RuPaul’s Drag Race contestants (and eventual winner) had the hyper mobile EDS. She used it to her advantage by moving in ways that you just don’t think are remotely possible. But she did talk about how she’s got a much shorter career trajectory because of it.
