Four teams within two points of each other in the Atlantic

BLOT have two extra games, Broons -1

KINDA feeling like the teams in the playoffs now will be the ones that make it, although NYR are six out they have 2 games-in-hand on the 54 GP club.

I also feel (know) that the Wings are due for some L's (sorry). Although looking at their next 5, christ, maybe not anytime soon.

TBL (beatable), MIN, ANA, MIN, CBJ, CBJ

SNES played ok last night considering, some insane Vasi saves (plus a questionably located Giroux shot on 3/4 of an empty net) kept it 3-2 BLOT for long enough for the empty netter but they were in it.

Ullmark was solid, not great. Needs reps, will get them.

Being down Norris AND Pinto does not inspire confidence in the immediate future games. No update on Shane's gamblin' arm.

My big concern is that the break saps their momentum.

What’s the timetable for Kaprizov returning, will he be healthy after Four Nations?

If I remember it’s 4-6 weeks or something so probably not back until early March maybe?

Canucks extend Marcus Pettersson six years 5.5 per

Seems like something they had to do, price should be fine with the cap going way up

Rags regulation win is probably the best case scenario, provided they don’t get on a roll

Wheeler ranked the Habs’ prospect pool third overall (I assume the difference between them at the Wings at 5 is Demidov), and some Hab fan in the comments said “We really need a legitimate 2nd line center, would Oliver Kapanen and a late first be enough?” Cmon man.

Kapanen is their ninth ranked prospect, he’s 21. Who cares about him?

No fan base beats their “Ryder, Halak, and a second” mindset.

There’s another line of comments that’s basically

“It’s great that Demidov is basically a first overall quality player because we didn’t get one with Slaf.” And then “Well I think Hutson was a first overall quality player too so it’s like we got two in the past few years!”

I think Demidov will be good but taking a victory lap on a player who hasn’t played an NHL game is Extremely Habs.

A “more reasonable” Hab fan adjusted the bona fide second-line center package to be Mailloux, picks/prospects, and someone like Dach. Still nothing they’ll miss.

Just in case Leaves fans feel superior as a fanbase, this from HFBoards

“What’s the best top six center we can get for Robertson + Cowan + 1st”
So who is out there? IMO this is a huge pkg and I expect to see some decent names available
