I think he pretty clearly does it even in the reverse view but there was a frontal one (can't find it) where you do see him drive his fist into Marchand's head

I hadn't seen that particular angle, I'd seen one from lower / the opposite side that just looked like a hit, and one from behind where it looked like maybe he punched him.
