He got three games.

If the refs called it correctly in the game, it would have been a major + the showers, and the Wings would’ve won in regulation.

Did the refs review it in game? It's like textbook 5 + game headshot.

Oh I guess there was literally zero call on the ice. That seems insane these days - they have the tools when they see a guy laying on the ice to just call a 5 out of caution and then review it.

There was no call on the ice so they couldn’t make one after the fact. Rasmussen needed assistance so there was a delay, during which time they showed Zegras looking up at the replay on the Jumbotron and saying “No way, no fucking way.”

Not saying I’m for it, but I have a feeling Yzerman will sniff around on Seth Jones. No clue what kind of retention / package would be necessary—can’t imagine his cap hit being higher than Larkin / Seider.

I guess what I'm saying is: even if they didn't see it... I think a lot of calls already get made on "didn't see it but there is reaction X and some guy on the ice" so why not just make the call and then review it and you can take away the penalty altogether if you want.

I feel like Jones could be good on a proper team with enough retention from CHI that he's more like a top 4 D?

Edvinsson and Jones would be a great second pair. But I do wonder if that blocks ASP from a top four spot long term.
