They immediately become 1000% more likeable

I don't mind not adding anyone good, it was weird last season to turn over like third of the entire roster with 20 games left. but I hate that all the depth D moves just spells Liljegren being scratched in the playoffs until someone gets injured or the team is down 2 games to 0.

I always liked Stecher

He's a good dude, one of the better Wings defensemen from the lowest point of their rebuild, but I can't see him being more than a 7th D sitting in the press box in Edmonton.

I didn’t know anything about the prospect whose rights the Leaves just acquired (Cade Webber from BU) for a sixth, but reading that he’s a 6’7” defensive defenseman with no offensive upside really fits with their other deadline moves.
