Moana soundtrack is 10/10 at least.

Re: It’s the Number One Buttz Shooter
Feel like I need to collect all of this in one place:
1. Had a stressful last week+ because of Gordie teething. Last Friday (February 28) he yelped when I picked him up and the next morning he was yelping at any touching in his midsection and was completely tired. I was worried he'd swallowed something, so I took him to the vet, they did x-rays to confirm there wasn't anything, and said he probably just wrenched his neck. Got puppy painkillers, after a day or two he was back to himself. Then midweek he started going through it again. Back on the painkillers, a day or two passes and he's back to normal (nipping at the kids, grabbing stuff he shouldn't, etc.).
2. My phone has been weird about taking pictures this week. Sometimes it would just have a black screen and wouldn't take pictures at all, sometimes I'd go in and it would be set at 2X zoom. The only way to reset stuff was to reboot my phone. Then midweek it popped up with a thing about how an "unknown camera" was recognized, that it wasn't Apple hardware, etc. It's an iPhone 13 Pro, which means it has three camera on the back, and apparently two no longer work. From the internet it sounds like either a $200 fix or I get a new phone (which I may or may not be able to get for free -- I'm due for an upgrade but who knows).
3. Friday is my grocery day and I'd bought four containers of Ben & Jerry's, since they were buy one get one free. The kids wanted that after dinner and got it out, and when I went to scoop it, I noticed it was super soft. I checked the fridge settings and the freezer temp, which is set to 0 F, was up to 20 F. Uhh bad news. We had friends over for dinner, the husband of which is far better at Fixing Stuff than I am, and he doesn't know how to fix it, but knows that the freezer cools the fridge as well. And sure enough, the fridge temp is slowly ticking up. Fortunately they had an extra mini fridge (bigger than the one we have downstairs) that they weren't using and space in their stand-up freezer. The repair guy has been called and I assume he'll get back to me on Monday, but man, have a feeling I'm getting a new fridge.
4. This afternoon Kid Artillery wanted to see one of her friends ice skate in a performance. That's the level of detail I understood prior to going there. Turns out it's a recital of sorts for the whole skating school -- individual performances, synchronized routines, whatever five-year-olds are capable of, a big parent-child number, etc. It's all set to Broadway show tunes, which are my absolute kryptonite. We are there for 2.5 hours and when we left they'd brought out a projector so they could show a videotaped musical routine they'd done off the ice. I was OK for the first hour, but once it got to an intermission and came back for more, I was absolutely broken. It's one thing to sit through a dance recital for your own kid, but to sit through all of that for your kid's friend? Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck. And I cannot stress enough how much I dislike musicals.

Damn, that's a lot of garbage all at once! (I do kind of low key love that you equated having to listen to shitty music for two hours as equally bad to the other things, haha)
Sucks about badhat, it's been ages since I thought about anything/anyone from there who isn't currently on this site but he was an decent guy, right? Like, kind?

2.5 hours of Broadway is absolutely as painful to me as the realization my fridge is fucked. (Repair guy’s coming tomorrow and I’ll see if the compressor can be replaced.)
badhat got snippy from time to time but he was a thoughtful, considerate guy back when HPN was filled with tiresome edgelord behavior.

Welp need a new fridge
Re: It’s the Number One Buttz Shooter
I was (completely coincidentally) also at the figure skating musical extravaganza. I'm a figure skating club member here, I skate 3-4x a week, had friends in the show, and even I was shifting uncomfortably in my seat after intermission. kudos to you for staying as long as you did! After the projector thing (it was an intro for the only professionals that skated - the current US nationals bronze medalist ice dance pair, who are coaches at the club) there was a whole other 20 minutes post-show honoring graduating seniors and re-introducing the entire cast so they could do some chaotic skating all at the same time so you didn't miss *that much* more. I was told going in that it was 2 hours long so it kinda threw off my afternoon.
some fun tidbits - andrew copp's mom used to be a skating coach at the club (synchro specialist I think, also long time UofM synchro coach) and his dad built all the platforms we used to put up over the benches and penalty boxes for judges to sit on during competitions. one of them really fucked up my thumb last year :/ someone else built lighter ones so...
not sure if you've been out to plymouth for an NTDP game but where the show was is the sheet they used to play on before they got the plymouth whalers's arena. I love the cube but that's obviously an upgrade.
