Boqvist stinks, another bust from the 2018 draft. Offensive defenseman with no offense.

To throw some water on everyone’s situation

The SNES are four back of the Leaves but only three up on the Wings

The Wings are only two up on the… Islanders!?!, who have a game in hand.

Columbus won in OT so they’re back in WC2.

The Calgary Flames traded wingers Andrei Kuzmenko and Jakob Pelletier, plus second- and seventh-round draft picks, to the Philadelphia Flyers on Thursday night for center Morgan Frost and winger Joel Farabee.

I like Farabee the most of these guys, I suspect that Torts tired of Frost.

Was so mad when I woke up to see CLB won. It's gotta be purely Johnny Hockey's spirit or something, their metrics are AWFUL - like second worst in the league. But good on them for keeping it going somehow.

There's so much more water you could have thrown! Any of our dumb teams are a crappy 10 game segment (like 3-6-1) from possibly getting de facto eliminated.

Even if Ottawa can somehow hold onto third in the Atlantic, their reward will be playing either Florida (yikes) or Toronto (sure, maybe an ok shot at transcendental ecstasy/catharsis from my greatest hockey demons but the likelier flipside is violent retraumatization). And if they can get a WC it's still either Florida or Toronto OR Washington (who I am finally admitting are just good, literally every move they made in the offseason was perfect.

I don't ACTUALLY think Ottawa's amazing or gonna win the division or anything. I'm basically just trying to will into existence some period in the next two months where they are semi-comfortably in the playoffs and I don't have to be living/dying by every single game result.

That said, it's nice to be even in the ream of top 3 in the division. It's been almost 10 years since they were in this position beyond, like, the first week of the season.

Farabee is at 5m for 3 more I think? so they would have required retention on that though Matthews and others have spent so much time on IR this year that I don't know how much. And we could have sent back social media star Grebenkin to be Michkov's pal. I also think it's almost always a better play to try to get someone with term at or approaching the deadline than a UFA. like I love Knies but I would probably go back in time to trade him for Hagel that year. and then I would also change a bunch of other shit too

Are they complaining that they’re getting too many PPs and ruining their tank?

I’m surprised by how bad Farabee’s stats are this year: 19 points in 50 games. He had 50 points last year

No that refs are protecting big baby Bedard enough and that they don’t get any calls
