It’s the Number One Buttz Shooter
Re: It’s the Number One Buttz Shooter
Ha my old buds shared that in the chat. We were reminiscing about the award winning DJ (DJ Law) who would bring video equipment along with his audio and play rap videos that he had chopped up and mixed alongside his rap mixes.

Re: It’s the Number One Buttz Shooter
Last Wednesday morning at 2am or 4am or whatever, I stubbed the hell out of my left pinky toy on the way back from an Old Man Trip to the Bathroom. I could tell pretty soon that I did some damage because it didn't stop hurting and the next morning I went to urgent care because I couldn't put on slippers without it really hurting. Turns out I'd broken the longest bone of that toe on a diagonal. No running for a month
Here's the kicker: I did this EXACT FUCKING THING five years ago when we were moving out here. I drove from MA to MI three times, and the third time was in FA's car and actually had a couple of stops. The first night I stayed in a hotel outside Philly and broke a toe on my right foot on the wheel of the travel suitcase when I was coming back from the bathroom in the middle of the night. I even thought about this when I put the suitcase where it was.
Fantastic work all around.

Ooof that sucks. I've done my share of stubbing my pinky toes, and they're never fun, even if never enough to warrant an urgent care trip

It's gradually getting less painful, at least, although this morning I thought "Nah I don't need Ibuprofen today" and like 30 minutes later I thought "Nope, I still need it."

Getting old rocks. Sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago walking across a parking lot when I didn’t see a small pothole

The best is when you unwittingly sleep in an awkward position and your back is sore for a week

Re: It’s the Number One Buttz Shooter
Hey everyone, happy new year.
I got a new mattress and went on a 3 week divorced man solo Japan trip for Christmas, everything a boy like me could ever ask for.
Can someone help me get rid of my plantar fasciitis so I can continue my unimpressive running career

So, the lady and I, realizing that we're about to hit the ol' downward slope and have limited time to give our bodies the muscle base we'll need when we're elderly to be able to hopefully stay mobile and independent.
I have done, like, ZERO training in years and years. Figured my weekly beer league hockey and work commute cycling would have me at least in an okay spot to start really working at it.
Went to my first class yesterday, a muscle fit thing with barbell/dumbells. It was my first class so I knew to take it easy, calibrated with the 65+ guy a foot shorter than me to my right and the 65+ 88lb rail-thin woman in front of me and matched their weights. They had 2 10lbs on the barbell and an 8lb dumbell per hand so I went with that.
Then proceeded to get bodied by those two. They powered through at the same weights that I had to take countless breaks at and was too messed up by the end to even participate in the yoga cooldown. Was continually hitting a max of either cardio or strength or both simultaneously. Just pulverized.

I went for a real deal spring mattress from sleep country on Boxing Day sales... it's a kingsdown duet. I've been in a few different beds for travel and dating reasons and realized that I prefer a firmer mattress and also that I hate foam mattresses because they seem to not breathe at all. the beds in Japan were all SUPER firm, took a little to get used to but once I did I was sleeping like a baby, 25k steps a day probably helped with that.
Japan absolutely rocked, first time ever going to Asia and had so much fun. I spent 12 days in Tokyo (Shinjuku, Shibuya and Ginza), 4 days in Osaka and 4 days in Kyoto. I'm amazed by the level of hospitality and attention to quality/craft there, it really permeates all aspects of Japanese culture and you could really feel it in their manufacturing, civic maintenance, food, cocktail mixology, coffee, whatever. I loved the specialization that was present in a business, a neighbourhood, a city, etc. it feels like everywhere in north america is trying to cater to all people at all times so it was a nice contrast. Pull up a restaurant and all they have is gyoza? sign me the fuck up.
had some mindblowing sushi, tonkatsu, ramen, etc but my favourite meal was probably a bluefin tuna bowl at tsukiji fish market, I was basically weeping tears of joy.
fun country, really want to go back

I got a puppy on Friday, presumably a Lab / Shepherd mix, named him Gordie (or “Mr. Hockey”). Will find a way to upload a pic when I’m not cleaning up pee.
Re: It’s the Number One Buttz Shooter
That trip sounds unreal user captain - Japan is near the top of my bucket list. I've been travelling a lot more recently and my new goal is to hit every continent. South American was going to be next - I was going to Carnival in Rio/Salvador, but the 2 Brazilians I know both said to wait till next year if I can't go the first weekend. So I'm looking for my 2025 travel destination.
Sorry to hear about the divorce if that's a thing that happened! 2 of my 3 best buds are going through that now (the 3rd is engaged). 1 was a long term w/children relationship and is amicable, the other lasted about 1 year and is nasty.

House training was really quick and easy when I got Cowboy - she only ever pooped inside once or twice before getting the hang of that, then a few more days of peeing inside, with the odd accident after that. I just did the basic, stern "NO" when she went inside followed by taking her outside immediately. Then treats when she would go outside. Also rushing to scoot her outside when I could tell she was about to go I think gave her the right idea too haha.Grand Moff Larkin wrote: ↑Mon Jan 20, 2025 6:46 pm I got a puppy on Friday, presumably a Lab / Shepherd mix, named him Gordie (or “Mr. Hockey”). Excellent name!
