Kakko is playing on Seattle’s top line and was in the mix physically yesterday, felt like Drury sold low on him.
The Rangers were able to dump Trouba so anything’s possible, but it seems like they need to move Zibanejad but I can’t see anyone taking that contract

Moneypuck model also agrees with my amazing eye test that the the Rangers/Bruins don't look like a good bet to make the playoffs
That said, it's pretty weird the massive disparity between the SNES odds (61.7%) vs the Wangs (13%) considering how close they are. You can try to figure out why here: https://moneypuck.com/about.htm (I will not be reading it)

I had to try to reason with the Habs fans on my beer league team that they maybe aren't actually as their recent run. Which I suppose is as true of the Wangs, as it was true of the SNES, and is also true of the Beej...

Trying to reason with Habs fans, look at this guy
(I won’t be on board with the Wings being seriously able to make it until they go through a tougher couple of weeks to end January, but I also don’t think their chances are half as good as the Habs’)

There are apparently 5-7 teams interested in signing John Klingberg, SNES one of them lmao.

Hard to see how that would help anything! I think it speaks to how dire the depth d market is, tho.

SNES play the very bad Isles tonight, expecting a loss. 0-2 against them this year (altho in fairness, both losses are in large part due to goaltending awfulness...)

Yeah that was awful. And yet they were a bounce or two away from winning the game. VERY glad that Patty Roy isn't the SNES coach.

Incredible the Wild are still in this one but I assume it will be over within a few minutes

I want an EDM-MIN western conference final

I am thinking of starting to watch some games involving garbage teams to scout possible trade target for the floundering Toronto Maples Leafs.

Sabres scored an EN goal last night despite having 0 shots in the third period.

Tavares week to week with an injury sustained in practice. It is bleak but I could not help but lol watching JT take the puck to the boards to do some puck protecting in a 1/3 ice 3-on-3 scrimmage
Re: The Official 2024-2025 NHL Season: Let’s Get It Started, in Here
I don't see why Yanni Gourde should be expensive, he sucks and makes 5m/year, just give him to us
Re: The Official 2024-2025 NHL Season: Let’s Get It Started, in Here
thinking of some of the contracts that new Leaf GM has given out since getting here. 4 years for Domi and Kampf, 3 for Reaves, 3 for Simon Benoit!!

I'm trying to think of which team will get (and subsequently fix) Dylan Cozens
