Not just Habs fans, to be fair!

I'm fairly certain the NHL and the State colluded to tank that land sale and screw Meruelo. Dude and this son just sound like the most unpleasant dicks to be around, even Gary Bettman can't stand them.
But the good news is it keeps my dream of owning the Phoenix/Arizona Coyotes alive.

Sprong signed with the Canucks for 1 year 875K
In February I assumed Sprong's production had priced him out of staying in Detroit -- thought he'd get like 3M x 2 or something like that from a team needing scoring depth. But he was scratched down the stretch because the Wings couldn't trust him defensively and his offense dried up when he was in (March and April: 16 games, 2 goals, 4 points), and the degree to which "If you can't be trusted on a team that doesn't make the playoffs, why would a contender take you?" factor came into play was more than I expected.
Tocchet seems like a bad fit as coach, I don't know if he'll go out of his way to give Sprong the easiest possible 4th line / PP deployment. But Canucks fans seem to think "Well he fixed Boeser defensively, why not?" and it's such a cheap bet that even if it doesn't work out, they can waive him.

Konecny gets 8.75 per for 8 years
Uh do they think he’s suddenly going to be a point per game player?

8.5 X 8 for Faber. Couldn’t even get Konency bucks?
Feels like a massive win for Minnesota

Both of those contracts are good
Have to think Seider gets north of that AAV if he takes 8
