Weird trade to do not during the draft when they were up for the 11th pick? I mean, hey, extra pick and all but find it hard to believe there isn't some player they really liked that could have fallen to 11.
But what do I know.

Even more mystifying that the Wings moved a second with Walman while the Sharks used (a different) second to move up. It makes a lot of sense for SJ. I think at least one, maybe two of the top six defensemen will still be available then. Not sure what Buffalo will do at 14, presumably a forward.

If I'm the Sabres, I take Brandsegg-Nygard at 14, which I think would kill the Wings' board. Maybe they like Eiserman? Who fucking knows

I liked Walman a lot but if he's your #1D, you're in trouble

sutterfamily, do you have a prospect you want at #6? Parekh seemed to check the most boxes for a while but for whatever reason, I think Sam Dickinson's their guy. I don't think handedness matters as much with Chyrchun out the door.

I can't figure out who I really want and I think I'm fine with any of the non-reach (vs consensus) options?
I think the only pick I'm really hoping they don't make is Sennecke, who I feel like Pierre Dorion definitely would have drafted.

If Sennecke makes it to #7 I think he's a strong consideration there. He's a solid prospect though, kind of reminds me of Cutter Gauthier's rise. Not Tyler Boucher redux.

Caps going for it (the eighth seed, again)
The Washington Capitals have acquired forward Andrew Mangiapane from the Calgary Flames for a second-round pick in the 2025 NHL Draft (originally from Colorado)

Pronman had the Wings take Solberg in his last mock, I ended up there when I tried to figure a mock out yesterday
I think Buffalo takes MBN and it comes down to Hage or Solberg

Is Sennecke the kid that grew something like 4 inches in one season?

I would guess the SNES take Iginla or the top ranked D still available.
